It's Almost Thanksgiving

Okay, so I haven't been the best at keeping up with the blog. Time sure flies when you are having fun. So we are keeping pretty busy around our house. When you live with a 3 year old one tends to be busy. It is starting to get cold and in a way I like it but in a way I don't. I am looking forward to eating turkey. Shane has been great and he has gone to the grocery store so many times getting ready for the big feast. I think that we might have everything that we need. Now we just need to find the time to get it all done. HA HA HA. Sesha is sure getting excited to eat turkey. Mom and dad came to see us on Sunday. It was great to see them. My daughter is a little ball of joy. She is so brutally honest. Sesha was telling mom about Frosty the Snowman and they started singing the song. You all know the words right???? Well it turns out that mom needs a little bit of practice. She was singing along, Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be with a corcob pipe and ......... then it went awry. So instead of Sesha just helping her out with the words she looked at mom and said "your doing it wrong" Then we proceeded to teach nana the words to frosty. It was fun. The words are corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of cole. (just so everyone knows in case Sesha wants you to sing with her). Then she proceeded to tell mom and dad about Rudolf the Red nosed reindeer and all about everyone in that movie. No she doesn't watch to much TV. So anyway. Not much else is going on here. We are just working and playing. The kids are doing great and they are all excited to come to Utah for Christmas. This is going to be a pretty fun holiday season. Now if it would just snow so we have a white Christmas. That would be the best. Well I am going to close for now. I will post more later.

Welcome Winter

Okay okay okay, So it is almost dare I say it WINTER!

The weather here in the big city of West Valley is very dreary. I don't really like the rain and if it is going to be cold let there be a reason. So I thought that we had winter here. It snowed and Sesha and I had fun building snowmen. Now it has melted and it is raining. Sesha is sad because her snow brothers and sisters have melted. Go figure that they would be family. I have told her that it will snow again soon but she is not buying it and tonight she wanted to put the trampoline back up. I don't know about her. She is a very silly girl. Shane is out of town this week working. Us girls sure do miss him. I wish that he didn't have to go out of town to work. I sure miss talking to him and seeing him every night. It makes me think back to when I was a kid and dad was out of town allot. I was remembering the night of the "Electrolux weapon". I know it probably wasn't very funny the night that it happened but we sure get a few laughs out of it now. I am thankful for the memories that we can laugh about now days. But no matter how cold it gets or how tight times get around my house I just don't think that I will ever be able to eat "Malt O Meal" Ever. I can't even see it in the store without about gagging.

So now that it is November and the holiday's are upon us I am wondering how everyone is doing with their shopping. I have a few things bought. So much for being ready before the first of November. Oh well it will all work out one way or another.

Okay, Well I am going to get some sleep tonight so I can get up for work in the morning. But before I go I am going to tell everyone about a funny story that Sesha has been telling me for the past few days. So it is road construction season in West Valley and they are working on 35th south. Any way there are two backhoes that are sitting in a vacant parking lot up around the corner from our house. The first few days there was only one of them. Then the other night I went to get her from Daycare and there were two of them. As we drove by them she stated in her most grown up voice from the back seat "Oh look mom, they love each other." Now everytime we are driving home she tells me that we have to turn at the "friends that love each other" Any way so tonight, it was getting dark when I was driving home from the daycare and she got all sad in the back seat of the car. She was almost crying (not mad but really really sad) I said what is wrong honey and she said "mom it is dark and them friends are out in the rain and dark. Can they come sleep in my room tonight?" I couldn't help it I started laughing and I didn't mean to. She said "its not funny, they are going to be sad" it took about 45 minutes of convincing her that tractors live out side and they wouldn't fit in her room. I will try to take a picture of these friends so you can see why she thinks they love each other. She has such a big heart and tonight it was broken. But then I found Mickey Mouse on TV and fixed Mac and Cheese and the tractors were a thing of the past. She is such a sweetheart. I just thought that was funny and wanted to share that with everyone.

It's almost November....

Holy cow this year has flown by. Yesterday I was thinking back over this year and it hit me 2008 is almost over. Where did it go? It was just like yesterday that Shane and I sat in the Walmart parking lot thinking how the heck are we going to get this TV home and set up to watch the Superbowl. (since his van was not big enough to hold the TV)! Now it is time to start planning for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas. What happened!?!?!!?
So after contemplating for a while I decided that I would blog about some of my most memorable experiences this year. Month by Month as best I could remember
January: Nothing much happened this month Gas was cheaper and life was allot more relaxed. I was working everyday at Overstock. Jake had his b-day.

February: Shane and I celebrated our 9th year of Marriage and Sesha turned 3. Superbowl was coming on and the day of the big game Shane, Sesha and I headed out to find a "real" TV to watch the game on. We had wanted a big screen for a long time and finally had the money to buy one. The TV that we had picked out just happened to be on sale at our "favorite" store. So off to the first Walmart we went.... They were sold out. So we hit another Walmart.... Sold out. By this time we were all pretty tired of shopping at our favorite store. Shane said if they didn't have it at the Walmart by our house we just wouldn't get it. (yes we started at the furthest Walmart from our house). So we get to the Walmart by our house and they had the TV in stock. They put it on a flat cart and we paid for it and headed out of the store. We get to the Van and guess what.... the TV was about 3 inches to tall to fit in Shanes van. So since we know so many people in this great state I did what any annoying sister would do. I called my brother in Ogden and invited him to the game but he needed to come get us from Walmart first. He told me he had plans and couldn't make it but he had a friend that lived in West Jordan that might be able to help us out. So Brian called his friend and I headed to back into Walmart for some McDonalds. Sesha was tired and hungry by this time. And it was cold and anyway. We ate lunch and sat in the parking lot of Walmart for about 1/2 hour waiting for Brian's friend to come and get us. He got there, We loaded the TV in the back of his truck and Shane and the TV rode in the back of the truck in a Snowstorm to our house. We got the TV hooked up and watched the Superbowl on it. I don't remember who was playing or who won but it was fun with the new TV.

March: this is the month that I will never forget.... Life was going on as usual with work and home. On March 12 Shane called me at work 2 times and I am not supposed to answer my phone at work. I had just got there so I couldn't really take a break and take the call. Boy I wish I would have. Anyway he texted me and all it said was call me ASAP. So I did. He told me that they had just got the phone call that his dad had just passed away. So I told my boss I was leaving and would let her know when I would be back to work. We all met at Chet's house and started planning what was going to happen next. We called his wife and talked about bringing him home from the Philippines. Then it was decided that we were going to go there. This would have been fine but neither Shane or I had a passport. This is where it got really tricky. I called the Post Office to see if I could get a temp Passport since this was a death situation and they gave me a number to call in Washington DC to get a passport the same day. I called the guy and was told that in order to get a Passport we had to be in LA at 9:30 the next morning with a drivers licence and birth certificate and our flight information to the Philippines. So we worked together as a family and it was decided that Shane and I would fly to LA in the morning and we would all hook up in San Fransisco and catch a flight to Manilla at about 10:00 PM on the 13. Shane and I left Salt Lake at about 4:30 AM and flew to LA. When we got there the person that I talked to in Washington had forgotten to make our appointment. Just so you know you can't get into the Federal Building in LA without an appointment. So I almost started to freak out. This would not have been good. Anyway the gentleman at the counter listened to why this was so important that we get these passports and he said wait right here and I will be back. Someone upstairs was watching because they had a canellation and we got in by 10:00AM. So after we applied and they took our money they told us to come back at 1:00PM to pick them up. Now mind you this place closes at 3:00PM. So Shane and I drove around LA, We went to the ocean and tried to eat at a denny's I think. and at 1:00 we went back. So now we had been awake for well over 36 hours and we were realy tired. So we get to the window and they tell us they are not done yet. To come back at 1:30. Okay so 1/2 hour delay. No biggie. Well needless to say we got our passports at about2:45 PM and I was freaking out. But it all worked out. Then we headed back to the LA Airport. we made good time and we would be in San Fransisco by 7 and our flight to Manilla didn't leave until 10. So we boarded the plane was just getting ready to taxi down the runway and was advised that there was a cloud cover in San Fransisco and they had closed down the airport to all traffic. So there we sat on a plane on the runway. Needless to say we sat there for about an hour, then an hour flight, then since the airport had been closed we had to hold in a holding pattern for about 45 minutes. So we land in San Fransisco with 8 minutes to make our flight since our times were wrong on our itinerary and our flight actually left at 9:15PM. Any way with our carry ons (thank goodness we though ahead and put in a change of clothes) Shane and I started the mad dash across the SF airport. They pushed us through security and we boarded the plane, they shut the doors and we took off. Even before we had a chance to get comfortable. So not to make a bad situation worse but Shane and I are smokers and well neither one of us had smokes since before we left LA and now we were on a plane for the next 17 hours. We had also been awake for over 40 hours by the time we took off. It had been a rough start to a long week. Anyway, we spent the next week in the Philippines and had the burial for Blair and met his friends. It was a very unique experience to say the least. I had to go shopping at the Mall to get clothes since we didn't have time to grab our luggage in San Fransisco. That was an experience in itself. But it worked out for the Best. This is when I really started to believe everything happens for a reason. Without us having taken luggage to the Philippines we were able to get Blairs belongings home and not be over on baggage. So we got back to the US and had his memorial in Clifton.

April: Not much happened, Shane and I went on our annual Mesquite trip and this is usually a big social gathering with all the Tinners and we slept most of the time. We did drive to Vegas to visit aunt Sandra. Then we came home. I turned 32 and started to feel really old.

MAY: We moved out of our mobile home in West Valley to a small Brick Home in West Valley. I was so happy to be out of that trailor. This is a nice house it is small but it has a great big back yard. I love that part. Shelby had her B-Day. Sesha got her ears pierced

JUNE: the kids came for the summer and it was go go go. We had Lagoon passes and we went al lthe time. It was great. Shane had his B-DAY

JULY: the kids went home and Sesha went through withdrawls. Shane and I wanted to go to Alaska fishing but the events in March put a hold on that trip. Keirstin had her B-DAY. Shelby and Jake moved to Bonners Ferry ID.

AUGUST: not much happened in August that I can remember. Gas was way expensive so we stayed home and didn't do much but work.

September: It was labor day and our family started getting sick. We started working in our yard and got most of it cleaned up. It started getting colder and gas prices were still going up. I went to Jail when I was on my way to see my dad in the hospital on his birthday. Sorry Dad. Still don't have any proof of the reason: WV doesn't have any info they tell me to call Weber County and Weber tells me to call WV. So I just keep my booking receipt in case I get pulled over for that warrant again.

OCTOBER: It snowed and started getting really cold at nights. Austin turned 18. And Gas is under $3.00 a gallon for the first time since February. I was so excited to only pay $2.99 for gas I had to call Mom and Emily to let them know. It is sad that we are celebrating $2.99 for gas. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is my year in review. I don't remember much else. It is almost the end of the year. I can't beleive it.

Well this is long so I am going to close for now. Keep smiling and keep posting. :)

NEXT... 6 THINGS ABOUT ME.
1. I am married to the love of my life Shane and we have 5 wonderful kids.
2. I work to much. We all feel like we have to work to live and I wish that we didn't have to work so much because I love spending time with my family.
3. So Em, I have you beat on this one. I met Shane on Dec 21 1998 and talked with him for about 1/2 hour. (he came with Jaaron to get a check from dad). He tagged along to a New Years eve party with Jaaron and I and we talked and danced. We officially went out on our first date the 2nd week of January and were married only 46 days after we met... And we have been married for 10 years in February..... Thought that you might like that story.
4. I was in the United States Army and trained to be a Combat Medic.
5. I live in a house in West Valley City Utah and hate living in UTAH! There are way to many people in this area. I miss the country that I hated so much when I was growing up.
6. I am looking forward to the snow this year. Sesha and I want to build snowmans and snowgirls. And I hope that once it cools down I will be able to get back into the domestic part of my life, Baking cookies, Scrapbooking, Quilting... all the crafty things that just don't seem to happen as much during the summer months.

It's beginning to look alot like winter

Hello all from West Valley. I am trying to find some time to post more pictures but life is what happens when you are making other plans. So, we got the first snow of the season in the valley on Saturday. I am having mixed emotions about the snow. I am looking forward to it a little bit but then I am not. We are almost done with our yard work. That is a project in itself. It has taken Shane and I a while to get to where we actually can see our back yard. We hope to have grass in for the spring but we will have to see. Shane and I are both really busy at our jobs. I am glad that we both have jobs that keep us mostly happy.
Austin helped out this weekend a great deal on the yard work. Sunday Sesha was all concerned because it snowed on her trampoline and she wanted it down so it didn't get ruined. And Austin took it down for her while Shane and I took a nap.
We have all been kindof sick at our house. Sehsa had a fever that lasted 8 days. She is not a fun girl when she is sick and doesn't get to play with her friends. But she is starting to feel better. Now Shane and Austin have the fever. I have a sore throat and some pretty wicked headaches but I think they are mostly sinus headaches.
We are decorating for Halloween and Sesha is so excited for the holiday so she can dress up. Everyday she tells me about the scary Halloween store and she assures me that she will hold my hand so I won't be scared. She is so brave.
Austin will be 18 years old this month. Man do I feel old. I can't believe that he is going to be 18. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!
There isn't much else to report. I will post more later. (As soon as I get some of my pictures off of my camera and onto my computer.)
Love ya and miss ya all.

Hey Punk

Hello All! Not much is happening here in the great city of West Valley. I just thought that I would let you all know that we are alive and kicking. Sesha has a new favorite phrase. Hey Punk. then she will let you know what she wants. Hey Punk, I need a drink. Hey Punk, lets watch Sponge Bob.... It is kinda funny.
Well Summer is winding down and it is starting to cool off. Thank goodness. I am enjoying it. But all to soon winter will be here. And then it will be really cold. However, maybe I will get some crafts done and some quilts made. That is my goal. To have all my levi quilts done by spring. We will have to see how this goes. Time goes by so fast. And I have some things that I need to sew for Christmas. It is going to be busy.
Well, not much else to report. I need to get ready to go to work and change my laundry.

Greetings from the JailBird

Okay Okay Okay.... So it isn't as bad as it sounds.... Lets start at the beginning of the week so you all have the whole story.

On Tuesday of last week I received a letter in the mail stating that my work had completed a credit check on me. I guess they need this because of the position I hold at work. Anyway, for those of you that don't know already my credit (and all my alter ego's credit) is not the best. If you haven't done it in a few months I would suggest you all check to see what is on your credit and make sure that all of it is yours. Identity Theft is not a fun thing to work your way out of. Any way back to the story, On Wednesday when I went back to work all my accesses had been terminated because of my credit history :(. So I got upset and decided that I've had enough and called Shane all upset because there isn't anything that I can do about it. So, I am dealing with trying to convince the higher ups at work that what they are seeing is not really mine and they weren't to nice about it. So Thursday morning, I was driving to work very carefully because the tags on my car expired on the last day of August. I was working doing what I could and I received a text from mom letting me know that dad was in the hospital. I called and got the details and decided that I would go up after work. I called Shane and let him know. After work I drove to the daycare, picked up Sesha and headed to the emissions place to get my car inspected and my new tags. All went well, the car passed inspection and I called Shane to come pay for it because they don't accept checks for the registration part of the ordeal. He met me there, put the stickers on my car and told me he would take Sesha home, and sent me to the store to pick up flowers for dad and dinner for the kids and he would meet me at home and we would head up to Preston. I got home and we left. We decided to take the car instead of his van because it does better on gas. So I was driving and going nuts because of the traffic. We were about to the famous Sesha thows up exit in Ogden and all of a sudden a wonderful UHP car pulls up on me and followed me for a bit. Then he flipped on his lights. I was thinking the whole time. Why today. I am in a hurry, I am not speeding so what the heck. Well, he walked up to the car and informed us I was being pulled over for expired tags. We handed the cop the paperwork I had just received for the tags. I had left y drivers licence home so Shane handed his licence to the cop. And we didn't have proof of insurance in the car. But told him it was through all state. He went back to his car and was taking forever. He came back to our car and advised me to get aout of the car. I did and he cuffed me. I asked him why and he told me it was for an outstanding warrant on a failure to appear for a speeding ticket. I said from 10 years ago. I know I paid that ticket. He said no from 2007. Huh..... I don't remember getting a ticket in 2007. I aksed him if I could see the ticket and he told me I would be able to see it at the jail. Huh.... So they booked me in the Weber County Jail and I asked to see the ticket. They were unable to show me and told me I would have to to West Valley to get a copy of it.... Huh. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention my work also ran a criminal background check on me the same time they ran my credit... No Warrants.... HUH?!?!?!?!?!?!? So I asked how long this warrant had been out there... Since 2007 I was told. Okay so this is making no sense. If I had a warrant in March of this year they wouldn't have issued me my Passport. It said on the sign that you couldn't get a passport with any outstanding warrants. I got my Passport..... HUH!?!?! So anyway Shane posted my bail... A whopping $276 which is the cost of the ticket that no body can locate. So enough excitement for the night. We came home. Sorry I didn't make it up to see you dad. Hope you are doing okay. So I called the City of West Valley today and guess what. I can't get any information about the ticket until Monday and I still have a Warrant until the city of West Valley gets the money from Ogden County. But my licence is not suppended and I don't have to go to court. So what are the bets that we find the ticket on Monday....... I am Going to scream.......

I will keep you all posted. But I am out of jail but I don't think that I will be driving any more than I have to until we get this mess cleared up. So another 10 years.....

Word of Advise from the big sister...... CHECK YOU CREDIT ON A REGULAR BASIS. This is not fun.

I am going to run now and get some work done.....
Love Ya ~Amber

From the Eyes of a 3 year old

Wow! How time does fly when you are having fun. Today was a good day. I took some vacation time off of work. I thought that I would try to get some things done around my house. But instead we took Sesha to the movies. We went to WALL-E. She lost interest about half way through and then started running around. When we got there she decided we were going to sit in the very back by the end of the movie she was sitting in the front row. There was only about 10 people in the whole place so it wasn't to bad. But she won't be going to the movies in the near future. Shane has decided that she has my temper.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get more housework done (heaven knows I need to do laundry).

I decided I would share a little bit of lifes interesting things from the viewpoint of a 3 year old

  1. She has a new favorite princess movie. In her world it is called Snow White and the dorks.

  2. Shane bought her some new earrings, now she wears dingalings. (they are the dangle earings)

  3. If you eat red apples when you get big you are going to get an adams apple in your neck

She cracks me up. We get laughing at her quite frequently around here and she starts to laugh and then tells us to stop laughing. She is quite a sweetheart.

So tonight I got my slideshow figured out. It didn't take very long. I had to go with the PhotoBucket one as my computer won't let me load the pictures the other way. I hope it works for everyone.

Well I am going to run so I can watch Snow White and the Dorks with Sesha.... Oh yeah she can name 4 of the 7 (Happy, Groucy, Doc and Bashful) Can you name the other three?

Thankful Thursday

Well it is Thankful Thursday so here goes
  • I am thankful for my family, without them life means nothing
  • I am thankful for hot running water so I can take a bath when I don't feel good
  • I am thankful for computers so I can keep in touch with my family
  • I am thankful for my husband who takes care of things around our house
  • I am thankful for the little things like Sesha kisses in the morning, the little pictures she draws for me so I will get feeling better, the morning of top ramen in a glass cup because it is cool to eat noodles that way.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Well not much is going on in the great city of West Valley. Just working and more work and more work. Then some laughing at Sesha.
We are still enjoying the Olympics. Sesha has started liking them more and she lets me watch them instead of watching Sponge Bob. YEAH!
I hope that all is going well for everyone lately. Our family is doing good. The kids are getting ready to head back to school. Shelby seems excited, Jake not so much. I am not sure about Keirstin. I am excited for school to start because that means that it will be cooling off soon.
Soooo. did you all hear about the really cheap gas in Salt Lake today? There was a 7-11 that dropped their prices and it dropped to $3.68 a gallon. Everywhere else has it between $3.93 and $4.01. Everyone was so excited about this "cheap" gas that they were backed up. About 2 hours later they shut the pumps off and hung up a sign stating that it was an error and they fixed the price and it was back to $3.99 a gallon.
Things might be looking up though, it is below $4.00 a gallon at most gas stations around my house.
Shane, Sesha and I went to Golden Correl for dinner tonight. Sesha had fun, the first time through the food line she got a tortilla shell with cheese (this was in a bowl) and mashed potatoes with no gravy and a roll on a plate. She put ketchup on her cheese and put her mashed potatoes on her roll like butter. It was cute. Then she ate some mac & cheese. Her favorite. Shane asked her if she wanted some ice cream. of course she said yes. So they were putting vanilla ice cream in a bowl and Shane asked her if she wanted the mixed one (orange and vanilla twist) and she said yeah. So he started putting it in the bowl and she said in her ever so quiet 3 year old voice "that is different, it is two not one"! Everyone in the place heard her and turned and looked. I thought that Shane was going to crawl under the ice cream machine. She was so excited and she had never seen that before. Then after we got done eating and we were walking out to the car Sesha informed us she was freezing and needed her blanket. I was sweating and she was cold. I am wondering if she knows what she is talking about. But she is nuts. Her fleece blanket has to be with her even when it is 100 degrees outside she wants to be wrapped up in it when we are in our non air conditioned car.
well this post is getting long and I am getting tired. I will post more later.

It's already August

Oh My Goodness. I can't beleive that it is already August. There isn't much to report so far this month. Just getting ready for it to cool down. This heat the last few days has been almost unbearable. Shelby and Jake are doing good. They are in Sandpoint until the middle of the month. They sounded pretty excited to go. Sesha is growing up way to fast. She is quite the kidder. She is stuck on Spongebob still and in one way it is good because it keeps her entertained, but I am getting tired of it fast. Shane made her some movies and they work great except she has to watch them on the big TV because her DVD player won't play them.
The other day at day care she had everyone convinced that it was her birthday. They sang to her and the whole nine yards. They called me to find out why I hadn't told them and I said because it wasn't her birthday. They laughed and so did I. I can't beleive that. She was telling them that I made her a cake and she had presents at home. What an imagination.
She was pretty sad when she was told it wasn't her birthday. But she was over it by the time I went to pick her up.
So not much else is going on. Just hanging out on the weekend trying to get laundry done and working from home.
I will post more later this week. :)

A Memory Game

What memories do you have with us? Or me? Or Shane?

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Pioneer Day

Thank goodness for State holidays. We needed a day off of work. Last night Shane cooked us a great dinner of steak, chicken and Halibut.... Man we need to get back to Alaska as we only have about one more Halibut dinner left. Sesha kept telling me that daddy is a good cooker. She likes it when daddy cooks on the grill and lets her help. Then after dinner we set off some fireworks. So much for our scheduled bath and bedtime. Sesha had a blast holding the roman candles that we bought. Yeah we broke down and bought fireworks this year. We went to bed late and slept in a little bit this morning.
We decided that Sesha needs a pet. So we went shopping for some fish and a tank. We went to a pet store and she wanted a bird. Then she wanted a snake. The bird is a definite no but maybe a snake. I kinda liked the lizards they had, I just didn't like the prices of them. So maybe this weekend we will find something. I liked the idea of fish personally.
After the trip to the pet store we went out to breakfast at IHOP. (Sesha loves Pancakes so she said the whole way to IHOP). The kid taking our order was pretty nice. He brought out our drinks and brought Sesha a special twisty straw. Then she was sitting there being her cute self and he came back to our table and gave her a bracelet. It was pink and it made her day. Then he brought us out our food. Sesha poured strawberry syrup all over her pancakes and we put ketchup on her eggs. She ate all of her eggs, didn't touch her pancakes and told me she wanted more eggs. I told her to eat her pancakes and if she did I would get her more eggs she told me she was done eating. So the question is, does she really like pancakes or does she just like pouring the syrup...... More to come.
After we ate breakfast we drove to Draper and picked up Keirstin and went to sportsmans warehouse. She wanted to buy a gun. It was cute and guess what.... It was PINK. Daddy told her that just because she is a girl doesn't mean she can have a pink gun. I was fun watching her pick it out. She was trying on sunglasses and picking the guns that matched her glasses. She had finally decided on a pink pair of Princess glasses and a pink gun. Needless to say she is not going to get a pink gun. :( it was a sad day for her.
Well not much else happened other then she took a nap around 6 and she is still asleep. (it is 10:40PM) so hopefully she will sleep until morning.
We hope everyone had a wonderful 24th of July....

Hello,
Not much to report today. This weekend we were able to attend the Cox family reunion. We haven't been in such a long time. It was fun to see the family. We just went on Saturday to spend the day. Then Saturday night we went out with Chet and Julie. It was relaxing. We drove home Sunday morning.
Last night Shane and I decided to go out to a movie. We went to Indiana Jones. Man he is getting old. It was a good show.
Sesha is doing good. She is growing so fast. I painted her fingernails and toes this weekend and she kept telling me "grandma is going to be so proud"! I am not sure where that came from but it was funny how she kept saying it.
Yesterday morning was the first morning since the kids left that she got up and picked out her clothes to wear and didn't throw a fit. Maybe she is getting back on a schedule? Hopefully it will get back to normal around here with her.
Shane is still really busy at work. Me not so much, I have been getting off early. But that will soon change. Shane is busy in the summer and my work picks up in the winter. So it is a trade off.

Life On Thursday

So all is going well, Sesha is watching Sponge Bob and Shane is watching with her. Not much to report. Work is still work and is crazy as ever. Shane is still really busy with his work so that is nice. I am glad that he works hard for our family.
I started clipping coupons again. Boy it is time consuming. Sesha is not much help. She thinks that she needs to cut to. So much for Pantene.
Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday and Payday. I am ready for the weekend. Hopefully I will be able to get some work done around my house. Need to mow the lawn and wash a few windows. Maybe I will just buy some curtains and not worry about washing the windows.
Does everyone realize that there are only 160 days until CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted everyone to know that.
I hope everyone is doing well. Keep smiling!

Our life has been a little bit crazy this summer. We bought season passes to Lagoon and spent quite a few days in the sun. The kids like to ride all the rides. Kevin, Amy, Madison and Brooklyn spent some time there with us. As did Emily, Dylan, Shauna, Trevor, KK and Jocelyn. Sesha loves the "pirate ship" and she likes to hold her hands up in the air. She is getting so big. Jake and Shelby like to ride most of the rides. Everyone but Sesha and I rode the rocket and re-entry. I like Wicked and I think Amy might like it too? Maybe. Keirstin came down for a few days to spend time with the family. It was good to have all the family together for a few days. Shelby, Keirstin and Jake have gone home for the summer now and our house is really quiet. Sesha doesn't know what to think about being here with no one to play with now. So we are watching allot of SpongeBob and Chowder to keep her happy.Shane and I are just working and trying to get things put together at our house. There is a ton of things that we still need to finish from the move. We are slowly getting there. He is in his busy time at work and my busy time is coming up. There isn't much else to report today. I am just cleaning house and doing laundry. (does it ever end?) Shane is working..... again. Christmas is coming and so we are trying to get a head start :)
I am still working on this. One day I will have it figured out. Today is Sunday and there isn't much to report. Just worked this morning and Shane is working in the yard. :)
